NUVO Glossary

A reference of terms and concepts used throughout NUVO Theory.

A

Arc Length

The scalar-modulated spatial path length measured in coordinate space. In NUVO theory, it incorporates expansion due to the scalar field via γ(r)·r.

C

Coherence

The closure condition on scalar geometry where the arc length returns to its origin after a quantized number of cycles, typically expressed as λ² = 1/α².

G

Gamma (γ)

The Lorentz-like factor defined by scalar modulation:

\( \gamma(r) = \sqrt{\frac{1}{1-\frac{v^2}{c^2}}} \)

Used to transform between proper and coordinate observers in NUVO scalar fields.

L

Lambda (λ)

The scalar modulation function derived from geometry and kinetic/potential energy. It determines local expansion of spacetime units.

S

Sinertia

A scalar-inertial quantity derived from rest mass flux. Sinertia flows along the gradient of scalar modulation and mediates gravitational effects in NUVO theory.
